Ormiston Six Villages Academy
Service
Ormiston Six Villages Academy is a co-educational 11 – 16 secondary school serving the communities between Arundel and Chichester. We have been a part of the Ormiston Academies Trust since November 2013. We are an inclusive school and have the clear aims of providing excellence for all students. We expect the best for our students and the best from our students.
What we do:
- Our core provision for SEND students is based around the quality of teaching and learning within the classroom. All students are set aspirational targets and staff are focussed on supporting each student to make progress.
- We work closely with our local Primary schools; the SENCo meets local Primary SENCos on a termly basis to ensure a smooth transition for the students. This builds upon the additional transition days in place for our more vulnerable students.
- Teaching Assistants work closely with our students to encourage an Independent approach to learning. They also keep detailed notes on students to ensure that they are working towards achieving the specific targets set for them.
