Crimsham Farm CIC - Alternative Education Provision

Service

Crimsham Farm CIC is an alternative education provision. We specialise in inclusion and SEN educational therapies and interactions based on animal husbandry, horticultural therapy and outdoor activities such as forest schools. We also encourage community cohesion through our various clubs and events and assist in the mental health and wellbeing improvement of persons from all backgrounds who suffer with a huge range of mental illnesses and health issues.

What we do:

  • Typical services include animal handling sessions and education, private clubs such as forest skills and junior farmers and respite through outdoor living and engagement.
  • The service is delivered face to face on the site itself and has some limited online interaction through e-tours and webcam access to the animal enclosures.
  • Our service is for anyone in our community who feels that they would benefit from it. Our main focus is on children and young people however we encourage all walks of life to come and join us on the farm.
  • Staff are DBS checked and have backgrounds in health and social care, the armed forces, outdoor education and learning and therapeutic skills.
  • Although we are intending on being fully disabled accessible, at present we cannot offer disabled facilities such as toilets, this is going to be remedied before Spring 2021. Visually impaired site users are encouraged to bring an escort with them.
