Allsorts Youth Project (Advocacy Service)

Service

Allsorts Youth Project listens to, supports & connects children & young people under 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or unsure (LGBTU) of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. The advocate can work with young people between 11-19 years in West Sussex.

What we do:

  • We can help the young person to have a voice, look at all the possible routes to a goal, and act on the young person's instructions. We can support with complaints, attend important appointments and make sure the young person's rights are upheld.
  • Advocacy is a client-led process, the young person is in control, it is the advocate’s role to ensure that they support the young person to achieve their goals and they have all the information in order to make an informed choice.
  • We are able to come to the young people across Sussex. We are able to meet the young person at any important appointments they might need support with, we will try our hardest to work flexibly around appointments. We are independent of any other agency
  • The cases are assessed on a case-by-case basis, assessing the needs of the client and urgency of support. Referrals can be made by anyone as long as the young person has requested this, referrals can be made via the email or number above.
