What is the event?

FREE EVENT!

This friendly, in-person workshop helps you understand and prepare as your young person moves away from Children's Services and into Adults Health Services.

This workshop is suitable for parent carers of young people preparing for the Post-16 stages,(from 14 years of age).

📌Worthing 📆 Tuesday 7th February ⏰ 10am to 2pm ☕️Tea/Coffee and a light lunch will be provided

Together we will;

~Unpick Person Centred Care, particularly for Shared Decision Making with young people.

~Explore the Mental Capacity Act and Best Interest decisions.

~Talk through different plans that you could put in place that help people work together and keep your young person healthy and safe.

~Look at opportunities to develop key relationships with clinicians, such as Annual Health Checks for people with Learning Disabilities.

~Consider your own needs as a carer, making you more aware of the support that is available for you.
